AAM’s Largest Museum Event Is Coming

AAM announced that the AAM Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo, the largest museum event, will take place in Houston from May 5 to 8, 2027.

The upcoming event will highlight the key priorities and challenges facing museums of every type, size, and location.

The AAM Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo invites museum professionals to examine key questions facing the field: How do we articulate and advocate for the unique value museums create? How do we build lasting support? How do we measure impact? And how do we ensure museums remain relevant, visible, and resilient? The meetings will bring together professionals from across the museum field to deepen their understanding of museum value, strengthen collective advocacy, and reaffirm the essential role museums play in their communities.
