Tate Modern Will Host Its First Monet Exhibition

Breathtaking Claude Monet exhibition opening at Tate Modern in London next year (March-June 2027). The exhibition is officially titled Monet: Painting Time.  The first-ever exhibition at Tate Modern focuses exclusively on Claude Monet’s paintings from lenders across the globe.

The temporary exhibition will display some rarely seen works by Monet, such as Arrival of the Normandy Train, Gare Saint-Lazare (1877), and series such as Poplars on the Epte and Monet’s Attempts, through variations of the same subject to capture a specific, transient instant in time.

The show centers on Monet’s profound and evolving relationship with time. We see how he echoed the rapid pace of modern life by capturing the fleeting, instantaneous ‘impressionist’ moment. Finally, the exhibition reveals Monet’s enduring relationship with nature and how, as a subject in perpetual movement, it shifts with the passing years and seasons.
