A former High Museum of Art executive was sentenced to 12 months in federal prison on Monday after admitting to stealing more than $600,000 from the museum, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Brady Lum, 60, was sentenced in Atlanta by U.S. District Judge Michael Brown after the defense requested no prison time and prosecutors sought 18 months.

“I stand ready to accept whatever decision you deem fair,” Lum said to the judge just before sentencing.

He pleaded guilty earlier this year to one felony theft charge after prosecutors said he embezzled the money over multiple years as the museum’s chief operating officer while entrusted with its assets.
